“We bought the property in 2014. We always wanted something with more of a traditional rural feel, individuality and charm but we knew it would need some work to get it to where we wanted. We had chatted and received initial concept drawings from a number of architects, but they never really hit the spot. We spoke to StudioPARK back in 2020 and chatted through what we wanted – more space, a better functioning kitchen, well insulated, sustainable, a structure that complimented the existing building and one that is difficult to age. Quite a list, we were fussy clients! StudioPARK came back with two options, both of which flipped all our previous design thoughts, and they brought something extra to the design.
Another bonus was that StudioPARK also project managed the build. Glad we included this. Covid hit at the start of the build and the building supply chains were hit with interruptions and inflation. This had knock-on effects to the delivery time and budget, and we are pretty sure that without StudioPARK’s involvement, there would have been quite a few difficult conversations with the contractors.
We are loving the new space. The entire house works better, adding to the charm that attracted us to the house in the first place.”
